Description
Straight out of Manningtree, the smallest town with the biggest ideas, comes a drink absolutely nobody was asking for and yet somehow everybody now wants to try: Ginness.
Crafted by Tiny Town Beer Co, Ginness is the world’s first black gin — a bold new spirit that looks like a stout, pours like a mistake, and drinks like a surprisingly crisp botanical masterpiece.
So why is it black?
The answer lies in the peculiar waters of Manningtree. According to local legend, the jellyfish of the River Stour, much like squid, excrete a rich black dye-like substance into the water. That naturally inky character, combined with Manningtree’s centuries-old habit of turning strange ideas into drinks, gives Ginness its unmistakable midnight hue.
The result is a spirit of total contradiction:
dark as a pint, clear in purpose, and entirely committed to confusing everyone at first glance.
Tasting Notes
Bright juniper, subtle citrus, smooth botanical lift, and a finish similar to the North Sea.
